The first tier of the check fund verification solution enables merchants to verify account status by submitting Check 21 or ACH transactions through the ATM Network. Merchants will receive positive or negative results based on the account standing. If the merchant is currently not in a negative status at the bank, the first tier will return a positive remark. The second tier of the check fund verification solution enables merchant to verify check writing history by feeding transactions through the National Check Network. Using this tier allows a merchant to choose from accepting positive or negative check writers based on their history. The final and most unique tier of the check fund verification solution is manual fund verification. Utilitizing our team of verification specialists, a merchant may be able to check funds with each bank of withdrawal and only accept and deposit accounts which have “sufficient funds” to cover the cost of goods or services. In conclusion, the Check21.com check fund verification solution removes known bad-check writers, invalid accounts, and/or accounts with improper funds. This process drastically reduces the amount of returned item many merchants are suffering from today.
